Naxal camp destroyed in Kalahandi district of Odisha

Odisha police arrested a Naxal camp on Thursday during a search operation launched in the M Rampur area of the Kalahandi district . The CPI (Maoist) cadres fired from LMG and other automatic weapons at police officials .

India Bhubaneswar (Odisha) (India — According to an official statement by police, Odisha police arrested a Naxal camp on Thursday during a search operation launched in the M Rampur area of the Kalahandi district.During the search operation, the CPI (Maoist) cadres fired from LMG and other automatic weapons at police officials.The Naxals retreated from their camp after being heavily assaulted by police.Two IEDs, one booby trap, detonators, Naxal works of literature, a large number of umbrellas, solar plate, water jerkin, Maoist banners, torchlight, charger, bag, soap, polythene sheets, electric wire, and other camp items were recovered during a further search, according to the release.

The Naxals eventually tore the cars down and fled the area.Before fleeing the site, they also left a banner and some letters.
