New Zealand defeats the Dutch in T20s under the captaincy of Santner

New Zealand beat Netherlands by eight wickets in their final match of European tour . Black Caps captain Mitchell Santner hits four sixes and nine fours in captaincy innings .

VOORBURG, Netherlands: New Zealands Mitchell Santner led the Black Caps to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over the Netherlands on Friday in a captains innings.Santners men won a clean sweep over Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands in the final match of New Zealand's European tour before flying to the West Indies for their first T20 match in Jamaica, set for next Wednesday.Santner was brutal with the bat against a spirited Dutch bowling attack, which saw him smash four sixes and nine fours across the scenic Voorburg Cricket Club grounds outside The Hague.Daryl Mitchell (51 not out) and Santner combined for 123 runs, with the skipper winning the 14th over with a boundary.

This included four dropped catches, two off Santner, when Tim Pringle lost the ball on 43 off his own bowling and again on 56.New Zealand never seemed to be out of trouble after losing opener Martin Guptill to Pringle for two wickets.After the match, Santner said, We did a lot better today.The pitch also did a lot more good work, and we displayed an awesome drive through the innings.

The Netherlands made a decent 147-4 after De Leede hit an unbeaten 53 off 48 balls.De Leede, who made 66 in Thursdays first T20I, clubbed two sixes and three fours in his 53, in another solid batting display on a sluggish wicket.With 2-20 in four overs, New Zealand spinner Michael Bracewell posted the best bowling numbers.In Thursdays 16-run win over the men in orange, the Kiwi bowling attack was less dangerous, but it was also difficult to escape.
