Officials from Metro Rail apologise to residents for cracks in their homes.

Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited apologised to Bowbazar residents for cracks and structural damage to buildings caused by the ongoing work on the East-West Metro project . Task force has been formed to investigate the issues and come up with solutions .

Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL) senior officials apologised to Bowbazar residents for cracks and structural damage to buildings caused by the ongoing work on the East-West Metro project on Saturday, and partnered with the affected families to find a solution.According to KMRCL sources, we apologise to them and will arrange for their restoration as soon as possible.According to KMRCL reports, plans have been made to restore the residents of 9 houses that have suffered significant structural damage.These houses have already been evacuated.

A task force has been formed to investigate the issues and come up with solutions.According to reports, a KMC councillor and a KMRCL representative will be contacted for an independent research on this particular project and will seek additional technical inputs to avoid such incidents.Experts from Jadavpur University (JU) have also been recruited to look at the buildings' condition.On Wednesday, Arun Sharma, CEO of Kolkata Metro, said they would also assist us in the execution of the project on the East-West Metro corridor's east side.

At the cost of the KMRCL, the affected residents were relocated to hotels.
