Raipur: On Saturday noon, school education minister Prem Sai Singh Tekkam announced the results of the 10th and 12th board examinations, as well as a list of toppers in the state capital.The pass rate for class 10th board examinations this year was 74.23%, with 78.84 percent girls passing tests to 69.07 percent boys.The pass rate for the 12th board examination was 79.3 percent, with 815.15 percent of girls and 77.03 percent of boys passing the test.Kunti Sao from Raigarh district dominated the 12th board this year, achieving 98.20 percent marks.Suman Patel of Raigarh district and Sonali Bala from Kanker district government higher secondary school were selected for the first position in the 10th board examination, scoring 98.67 percent.

Sonali Bala, a native of a Naxalite impacted Gondahur village, has made her neighbors proud by placing first in the high school examinations.Her village, she said, is located in an interior part of the country and often sees power outages.She wants to study science as a career option for higher education.Parmeshwar Sao, the father of the son, works as a laborer.

There were 3,75,674 students registered for the high school exams, out of whom 3,63,601 candidates appeared.In higher secondary classes, 2,92,611 candidates registered, with 2,87,673 candidates taking the examination.The board at Alzim Premji High School is a 100 percent success rate.
