Over 80 thousand farmers in the Indore district would receive cash assistance.

Madhya Pradesh government will transfer around Rs 1,700 crore to 82 lakh beneficiaries around the state . More than 80,000 farmers of Indore district will be benefitted by cash payments of over Rs 16 crore .

Indore: On Wednesday, the Madhya Pradesh government would transfer around Rs 1,700 crore to around 82 lakh beneficiaries around the state, while providing direct financial assistance to farmers.More than 80,000 farmers of Indore district will be benefitted by cash payments of over Rs 16 crore, according to senior administrative officials.According to senior administrative officials, 83,147 beneficiaries in Indore district will receive money in the form of 26,508 farmers of Depalpur, 18,034 farmers of Sanwer, 9,198 farmers of Khudel, and around 7,000 agriculture producers of the remaining five tehsils—Kanadia, Rau, Bicholi Hapsi, Malhar With both schemes, the farmers in the state now receive a total of Rs 10,000 per annum from the government.However, a review revealed that about 50,000 farmers in the state, including 4,098 Indore agriculture producers, did not qualify for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi because they paid income tax.

According to revenue department chief secretary Manish Rastogi, a total of Rs 51.32 lakh cash benefits have been returned in Indore so far, while a recovery process of Rs 2.76 crore has been underway.
