Patna: Over the next four days, the state will be subjected to varying weather conditions.Though light rain has been forecast in north Bihar until May 18, places in south Bihar may see maximum temperatures rise to 44 degrees Celsius over the next four days, according to an evening bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).The predicted rains have been attributed to humid south-westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal to the east-west trough running Bihar to Assam, according to the Patna meteorological center.On the other hand, light rain is forecast in some areas in north Bihar till May 18.

At the majority of points in the state, cloudy southerly and south-westerly winds are blowing at a rate of 8 to 10kph.As a result, a district adjacent to the Terai district in north Bihar could see a thunderstorm with light to moderate showers over the next 24 to 48 hours, according to the Patna meteorological center.According to the weather conditions, the maximum temperature in the state is expected to be in the region of 42-44 degrees C in south-western areas on Sunday and Monday.Over the next two days, it is expected to reach 40-42 degrees C in south-central districts, including Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, and Shikhpura, among other.
