New Delhi, India, November 24: On Thursday, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi chastised the Bharatiya Jantiya Party (BJP) for presenting the case from a religious angle and claiming that the case is not about love jihad.Asaduddin Owaisi, the chairman of the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), said that BJP politics over this is completely wrong. It is not a case of love jihad but of sexual exploitation and abuse against a woman, Owaisi said, and it should be seen and condemned in this manner.Recalling the Azamgarh tragedy in which a man murdered his wife and held her in a suitcase, the AIMIM chief said that such incidents are heartbreaking, should not be politicised and should be taken from a Hindu-Muslim perspective.

CM Sarma said earlier on November 20 that India needs a uniform Civil Code and a rule against love jihad in Delhi, but not a person like Aaftab (the Shraddha murder case is being investigated), but a leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Owaisi said on the roadshow in Delhi that India needs a leader like Lord Ram, and that his fight will help the country. To fight elections, we do not require permission from any other group; it is our right. When speaking with reporters, he said, We trust the people and constitution of the country, and our fight will strengthen Indian democracy.
