Policeman is suspended for using work time for personal tasks

Coimbatore: A police chief constable has been suspended by deputy city police commissioner G S Madhavan for skipping duty at the police outpost at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for personal service, according to a police report.On Tuesday night, head constable Ezhumalai, who was stationed at the Race Course (C2) law & order police station, was stationed at the CMCH outpost for service.But he went somewhere for personal service.When senior police officers learned of it, they prepared a lengthy study against him and emailed the same to the deputy city police commissioner on Wednesday.On Tuesday night, a special sub-inspector was caught skipping duty at the police outpost at Mullai Nagar, near PN Pudur.

On Wednesday, city police commissioner V Balakrishnan reported that police officers were missing on State Bank Road in front of the train station, where there was a heavy traffic jam.He then directed traffic enforcement and police, who then came to order them to stationed a sub-inspector police and traffic cops in front of the railway station till 10pm on a daily basis to reduce collision.
