New Delhi, India, August 7: President Droupadi Murmu has congratulated Jagdeep Dhankhar on being elected as India's 14th Vice President, saying the country will be benefitting from his long and rich career in public life.Your long and rich public life will benefit the nation.In a tweet, the President expressed my best wishes for a fruitful and fruitful presidency.Dhankhar, the NDA vice presidential nominee, won the election by 346 votes over Opposition candidate Margaret Alva, who received 182 votes.Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, met Dhankhar and congratulated him.

In a tweet, Birla said that I am confident that he will play a vital role in strengthening constitutional values and democratic traditions.Dhankhar was also praised by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.Amit Shah said he is confident that Dhankhar will be the ultimate protector of the Constitution as Vice President and Chairman of Rajya Sabha, according to defence minister Rajnath Singh.Dhankhar's deep knowledge of peoples problems will be beneficial to the country.
