LONDON: On Friday, the Conservative Party of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson lost a previously safe parliamentary seat in southern England, a reminder of the depth of public resentment following months of scandals and an escalating cost-of-living problem.Richard Foord, a candidate for the center-left Liberal Democrats, defeated the conservative candidate who had won the Tiverton and Honiton seat in 2019 with a majority of approximately 6,144 votes.
