Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) India : The Congress has barred 30 party office holders from the primary membership for six years just one day before the counting for the Himalayan Pradesh assembly elections.Vice presidents and former vice presidents of the party's Shimla (Rural) district committee, as well as a general secretary of the NSUI have been expelled.Pratibha Singh, the state Congress chief, took the decision on the basis of a report submitted by the Block Congress Committee Chopal, District Shimla.Pratibha Singh, the wife of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, is the mother of one of the three sons of Shimla Rural candidates.

On December 1, the first phase of polling in Gujarat was conducted, and the results for both states will be announced on December 8.In Himachal Pradesh, which went to the polls on November 12, the Republic-PMARQ exit poll gave BJP 34-49 seats with a vote share of 44.8%.With a vote share of 42.9%, it predicted that Congress would win 28-33 seats.According to the exit poll, AAP is expected to secure a 0-1 seat in the state with a 2.8 percent vote share.
