The News International in Islamabad (Pakistan): Senator Azam Khan Swati, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was suspended until December 3 for his inconvenient tweets against senior army officials, according to The News International.The court order comes after Azam Khan Swati was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agencys (FIA) Cybercrime Wing on Sunday from his Chak Shahzad home.According to The News International story, he was referred to a court that imposed physical confinement for two days.Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Shabbir Bhatti ruled that Swati will be handed over to the FIA until December 3.
The court also denied Babar Awans' counsel's petition not to present Swati in court due to security concerns.The Islamic High Court (IHC) ordered the deputy attorney general to summon orders from the home secretary on the charges against the PTI leader, prompting a six-day physical arrest of the senator for further investigation.Azam Khan Swati filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court on Monday, and his lawyer Babar Awan appeared in the court.The plaintiff's counsel advised the judge that his client should not be held in jail until all the cases against him have been settled. He is now in physical custody, while 50 cases have been filed against him around the region, according to Babar Awan.According to a news International article, the court was curious about how the home secretary had power over the provincial inspector generals of police (IGP).Awan told the court that the home secretary had control of the provincial IGPs.The court is also compelled to check to see if the home secretary has the authority as outlined in the case and provide any additional information about the case.
