Pune: A fraudster replaces an old man's debit card and withdraws Rs 60,000 in cash.

A 71-year-old man filed a charge with Hadapsar police claiming that a robber stole his ID, stole his debit card and used it to withdraw Rs 60,000 from various ATMs . Maruti Sawant, a Mundhwa resident, went to an ATM of a public sector bank and took out a debit card for withdrawing cash .

PUNE: On Friday, a 71-year-old man filed a charge with Hadapsar police, claiming that a robber stole his ID, stole his debit card, and used it to withdraw Rs 60,000 from various ATMs.On May 10, the shooting took place in an ATM near Noble hospital in Hadapsar.Maruti Sawant, a Mundhwa resident, went to an ATM of a public sector bank and took out a debit card for withdrawing cash.Police say he took his phone from his bag to check the onetime password.

According to the FIR, the fraudster exchanged his debit card with an expired one, took the pin number and used the same to withdraw Rs 60,000 from various ATMs.The fraud came to light when the complainant was sent text messages about the activities he had not completed.Since receiving pictures from the bank, senior inspector Arvind Gokule of Hadapsar police said on Saturday that we will monitor the CCTV camera to find the identity of the fraudster and apprehend him at the very least.An FIR under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code was filed.
