Pune: A show-cause notice is sent to the school

PUNE: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has sent a showcause notice to Navi Sanghvi's New Millenium English Medium School for raising the school fee to Rs45,000 from Rs15,000 last year, an increase of about 200%.The Commission for Public Safety (COPS), a nonprofit for students, has requested that the financial records of schools of the last seven years be reviewed and the increase in fees be justified.For the 2018-19 academic year, the school had paid Rs15,000, but it has been increased to Rs45,000 this year.According to the fee act, the school can not raise fees more than 15%, according to a parent.

We opened an investigation and the concerned officer submitted the report to the education department.According to the study, the school had hiked the fees in violation of state government regulations.According to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), trusts must operate schools without a profit motive, according to the education office.
