Chandigarh: Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains renamed the states on Thursday, citing caste and fraternity as the basis for the new administration schools.Mr Bains said in a tweet here that a number of cases have arisen about the names of many state government schools that are connected to a caste, making them appear to be marginalized in the present period and encouraging caste separation in the society.All students were able to receive equal instruction in Punjab's government schools, where the names of government schools could not be related to class or caste, he said.Punjab is the territory of gurus, saints, and great prophets who have taught mankind to stay away from casteism and all forms of discrimination, according to the education minister.
In this regard, all the district education officers and the elementary education department have been asked to submit reports about the schools of different caste-based names that exist in their region.
