Punjab governor Banwarilal Purohit has accepted the state governments proposal to host a one-day assembly session on September 27 . The governor was informed by the Bhagwant Mann-led government on Saturday that the problems concerning stubble burning, the goods and services tax, and electricity distribution would be discussed in the session .

CHANDIGARH (CHANDIGARH): Punjab governor Banwarilal Purohit has accepted the state governments' proposal to host a one-day assembly session on September 27, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said on Sunday, indicating that the AAP dispensation and the government's relationship has come to an end.The governors' acceptance came the day after the AAP government informed him of the issues to be discussed during the session.In a tweet, the Hon.Governor of Punjab has graciously complied with our request and summoned the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to meet for its third session on 27.9.2022 at 11.00 AM in Chandigarh, according to the author.

This came after the governor asked for details of the legislative agenda to be discussed in the session on Friday, sparking a ferocious reaction from chief minister Bhagwant Mann, who said it was too much.The governor had reacted angrily, telling Maan that his legal advisors were insufficient.The ruling AAP had attacked the governor, claiming that he was acting at the behest of the BJP.The governor had refused to convene a special session of the assembly on September 22 to propose a confidence bill.
