RANCHI (RANCHI) – During raids carried out in the house of high court advocate Rajiv Kumar in Ranchi, a crime branch team from Kolkata confiscated several bank passbooks, electronic devices, documents related to PILs, and property documents on Friday.The raids, which began around 4 p.m. on Thursday, lasted eight hours at his Gauri Shankar Nagar home, under the Argora police station, and in his brothers' rice mill in Tupudana district.Kumar was arrested red-handed in Kolkata on July 31 with a sum of Rs 50 lakh, allegedly stolen from a businessman for withdrawing a PIL brought against him at the Jharkhand High Court.Sharmila Singh, Kumars wife, issued a written statement on Friday, acknowledging the presence of Kolkata crime branch employees at their house for a brief period on Friday and also regarding interrogation.
