RCP Singh resigned from the BJP on Saturday amid charges of bribes levied against him . Singh and his family members were convicted by JD(U) staff of amassing a lot of money between 2013 and 2022 .

RCP Singh, the former JD(U) national president, resigned from the BJP on Saturday amid charges of bribes levied against him and reports of a growing conflict with Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. This comes as a result of the party's request for an explanation from him about allegations of amassing a lot of money. In a letter to Singh, Bihar JD(U) chief Umesh Singh Kushwaha said that our honorable leader (the CM) has maintained a zero tolerance of corruption and has remained unashamed throughout his long political career, as outlined by a paper containing a copy of Singh's written complaint.Singh and his family members were convicted by JD(U) staff of amassing a lot of money between 2013 and 2022.

Upendra Kushwaha, the chairman of the party's parliamentary board, said it is wrong to reveal who made the accusations. However, it is better to get an explanation.RCP Singh was nominated as a minister at the Centre, presumably against Nitish Kumar's wishes. He was recently barred from Bihar's Rajya Sabha, effectively ending his Cabinet seat.

Singh joined politics in 2010 after taking VRS.Singh, who had served as Kumar's principal secretary for the first five years as chief minister, was regarded as a blue-eyed boy by the de facto JD(U) king, and quickly rose in prominence within the party, which considered him for two back-to-back terms in Rajya Sabha. The BJP was careful in its response to the events, citing them as a JD(U) internal problem. However, the RJD, Bihars main opposition party, was direct in criticizing the JD(U).

It would be regrettable if his deeds were greeted with tacit approval from his superiors.According to state RJD president Jagadanand Singh, keeping higher ups in the dark is a poor reflection on their wisdom.
