Regarding Warner's withdrawal of the leadership suspension review appeal, Cricket Australia should respect David's request to be heard in private.

David Warner withdraws bid to have lifetime leadership ban suspended . Warner hoped to be re-appointed as skipper of national teams after four years .

Melbourne, December 8: Cricket Australia (CA) expressed dissatisfaction with star opener David Warners decision to withdraw his bid to have his lifetime leadership ban suspended. After the Cape Town ball-tampering scandal in 2018, Warner was barred from taking over any leadership positions for his life.Warner hoped to be re-appointed as skipper of the national teams after an in-depth analysis for four years. But Warner and the board decided to withdraw his appeal on Wednesday, claiming that the relevant committee should hold a public hearing rather than a private one.

I have no other viable option at this moment than to withdraw my petition, Warner said on social media, as quoted by the ICC.I am not prepared to expose my family or my teammates to further pain and disruption by rejecting the manner in which my application should be handled pursuant to the Code of Conduct. After Warner's social media post, CA expressed support for him in a statement. We are dissatisfied with this outcome, as our intention was to give David the opportunity to explain why his lifetime leadership ban should be changed at an independent hearing, and we amended his Code of Conduct accordingly, according to the statement.

Pat Cummins currently leads Australia in Tests and ODIs, while Aaron Finch is the T20I captain.
