Resolution adopted by Himachal Congress MLAs; party high leadership to decide on Chief Minister

AICC in charge of the state Rajiv Shukla declared that the newly elected Congress MLAs in Himachal Pradesh had left the decision of selecting the Chief Minister to the partys high command .

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) India December 9: At a press conference, AICC in charge of the state Rajiv Shukla declared that the newly elected Congress MLAs in Himachal Pradesh had left the decision of selecting the Chief Minister to the party's high command.With PCC chief Pratibha Singh, former PCC chief Sukwinder Singh Sukhu, and CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri in the previous House of Representatives all face challenges for party leadership.The meeting of newly elected MLAs took place the day after the results were announced in the state in which Congress achieved an absolute majority of 40 seats.The BJP gained 25 seats in parliament.

pratibha Singh, Sukhu, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda were among those present at the press conference.
