At a Utilities Command Meeting in Srinagar on Thursday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the security arrangements and preparations for the annual yatra, which starts on June 30.The officers briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the overall security situation while addressing the Army, Intelligence Agencies, CRPF, BSF, and others.The government is committed to providing Yatris with the best facilities.The plans have been modified compared to the previous years.

We are aware of the high altitude issues, and a sufficient number of oxygen cylinders, medical beds, emergency responders, doctors, and nursing staff has been provided to the meeting.This year, tourists can also book a helicopter ride directly from Srinagar for the yatra.Most importantly, the pilgrimage is expected to last 43 days, beginning with online registration.The Amarnath shrine pilgrimage to the 3,880-meter-high cave shrine of Lord Shiva, located in the upper reaches of the Himalayas, is scheduled to begin on June 30.
