The Royal Army Institute of Technology (RRU), based in Gandhinagar, will establish a Wargame Research and Development Center in New Delhi on Friday to train Indian army troops in virtual reality simulation wargames developed specifically to tackle the challenges of counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations carried out by the Indian Army.A statement from the Army Training Command, Indian Army stated that the agreement was signed by RRU, an institute of national security and policing, and the Army Training Command, RRU will collaborate with Makers Lab, the tech giant's research and development division, to establish a wargame center that will incorporate emerging technologies into wargame development.According to a RRU spokesperson, Colonel Nidhish Bhatnagar, Director of the School of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security at RRU, the results will be an input for the development of the Indian Army's strategies and doctrines in the next three to six months.
