Sangrur by-elections: 15.6 lakh voters; 296 polling places are sensitive

PATIALA: The 15.66 lakh voters in the Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency, which covers nine assembly segments and three districts, are fit to vote on Thursday at 1,766 polling stations, including 296 sensitive ones, where police paraded the flag on Wednesday.76 polling stations are equipped with microobservators, while 7,064 government workers and 6,716 soldiers from the SAF and the CAPF will handle the other arrangements and security, respectively.The area boasts 7,540 service voters.It has five assembly seats in Sangrur district (Lehra, Dirba, Sunam, Dhuri, and Sangrur), three in Barnala (Bhadaur, Barnala, and Mehal Kalan), and one in Malerkotla.

The voting will take place on June 23 and the counting will take place on June 26.
