Scooterist detained in Navi Mumbai for attacking a police officer

NAVI MUMBAI: During the Maldives Presidents convoy movement on Palm Beach road in Navi Mumbai, a 40-year-old man was arrested for assaulting an on-duty police constable who had stopped him while riding his scooter.Ravindra Patil, a senior police inspector from a NRI coastal police station, reported, A first intelligence report was published against accused scooterist Rahul Dhuldhule, according to Constable Rohidas Kulal (34).He was sentenced to death in India by sections 353, 504 and 506 of the Indian penal code (IPC).As Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's convoy was supposed to cross the junction and head to JNPT, constable Kulal and his crew were deployed at Kille gaothan junction from 7am onwards for VVIP movement, according to the FIR.

However, a scooterist stifled the cops by refusing to allow him to proceed.Constable Kulal informed him of the VVIP movement, which resulted in the vehicles being temporarily suspended.The scooterist used offensive words to insult constable Kulal.As the cop tried to calm him, he became aggressive and grabbed his collar.

The Vashi JMFC court has placed the accused Rahul Dhuldhule in police custody, according to Ravindra Patil, senior police inspector of NRI coastal police.
