New Delhi, December 5: In a major reshuffle at the AICC, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has named Kumari Selja as general secretary in charge of Chhattisgarh and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa as in charge of Rajasthan, a successor to Delhi's Congress Working Committee.He is a member of the party treasurer Pawan Kumar Bansal.The changes were made the day after the streering committee met.Maken had resigned as Rajasthan's chief minister earlier this year, taking exception to the actions of some loyalists of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot ahead of a proposed meeting of legislators that would not take place in Ocotober.Maken had presented his views to the party's leadership.

The new incharges of Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan are expected to devise plans for next years' assembly elections, and after the results of recent panchayat polls, the Congress is optimistic that the state will return to power.According to a release from the Congress, the party accepts Ajay Maken's, PL Punia, and Vivek Bansal's contributions and relieves them from their current roles.
