Six absconding accused from Odisha are apprehended by SOG and ATS.

Six people were arrested from Odisha for being involved in several serious offences committed in Surat . The suspects were wanted in major ganja supplying cases .

Surat: On Saturday, six people were arrested from Odisha for being involved in several serious offences committed in the city by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS).For many years, the convicted criminals were on the lam.The entire operation was carried out by a team of 20 cops from ATS, SOG, and police officers from different city police stations.We found the perpetrators of the serious offenses, but they did not go away for long.

After finding the absconding suspect, police enlisted the assistance of ATS and Odisha police to find the accused's whereabouts.According to the officer, Odisha police also backed Gujarat police's efforts and made sure the suspects were nabbed.Police seized Simanchal alias Kaliya Bhajram Pradhan, Subhash Raut, and Raju alias Rajendra Bahera for reportedly supplying ganja to the town.They were arrested in the city's police stations Varachha, Katargam, and Amroli.

Jagdish Raut, the sixth suspect, was arrested for his part in a bribery case worth Rs 8 crore, which was registered in Udhna police station.Sunil Pandis' property worth Rs 2.26 crore was confiscated by the city police and Odisha police earlier this year.Pandis' involvement in supplying ganja to Gujarat was uncovered in numerous cases, and he was arrested by the city crime department in March 2021.After ten years, the accused was convicted.
