BIRMINGHAM, British Columbia (USA): Bhavina Patel, a star Indian para table tennis player, took a gold medal in the women's singles class 3-5 at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.To cap off a stellar run at the quadrennial competition, the 35-year-old from Gujarat, who had silver medalled in Tokyo Paralympics, defeated Nigeria's Ifechukwude Christiana Ikpeoyi 12-10 11-2 11-9.Bhavina climbed to the top of the world rankings after winning the silver medal in the individual category at the 2011 PTT Thailand Open.In addition, she also won a silver medal in the womens singles class 4 at the Asian Para Table Tennis Championships in Beijing in 2013.
