Southern India: TVS Groups No longer is Prema Srinivasan

Prema Srinivasan was a mother to Venu Srinivasan and Gopal Srinivasan of TVS Group . She was a lover of art and culture, was the author of several books .

CHENNAI — Prema Srinivasan, author and reviewer of children's books, and mother to Venu Srinivasan and Gopal Srinivasan of the TVS Group, died here on Sunday.She was 90 years Prema, the daughter of a retired customs official K Rangaswamy, was married to T S Srinivasan, the youngest son of T V Sundaram Iyengar, the founder of the TVS Group.She is survived by her two sons, two daughters, and their families.Venu Srinivasan and his family members were expressing condolences to him and others in the family in a statement, according to chief minister M K Stalin.

Along with calligraphy and sculpture, she had a deep interest in spirituality and philosophy.Prema Srinivasan, born in 1932, studied art and history at Columbia University in the United States in the 1960s.She also established The Environmental Society, Madras, to educate young school children about climate change.She was actively involved in the InKo Centre, the Indo-Korean Cultural and Information Centre in Chennai, where her son Venu Srinivasan was a member of the Governing Council.

She was a woman of deep spiritual dedication, a master of arts and culture, and an expert at a burgeoning array of diverse interests.She had always had a encouraging word for everyone, both compassionate and warm.She will be greatly missed, but her guiding spirit will continue to guide us on our path.Rathi Jafer, the director of the InKo Centre (The Indo-Korean Cultural and Information Centre), expressed gratitude and prayers for the departed soul, as well as strength for her family and all who knew and loved her to face this tremendous loss.
