Lucknow: Hours after SP chief Akhilesh Yadav sparked a rift by claiming that the BJP was planning to stage a danga (riot) under the pretense of Tiranga Yatra, deputy CM Brajesh Pathak accused the SP chief of dividing the community.SP's greatest strength was once to divide people, but Pathak said it has now turned into its greatest weakness, claiming that this attitude has resulted in the party being just a sinking ship.Rakesh Tripathi, a UP BJP spokesperson, demanded an apology from Akhilesh for tying up riots with the tricolour.Akhilesh Yadav said he still remembers the riots that took place during his tenure, saying that Saifai is UP for Akhilesh, which is why he instead concentrated only on his hometown instead of focusing on the entire state.

The SP government was involved in regular protests.He said that the law and order situation has been improved under the BJP administration, adding that even other states are following the Yogi model.Following demonstrations among party workers over the murder of BJP youth wing worker Praveen Nettaru, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai declared last week that he is prepared to take steps following the Yogi model.
