New Delhi, India, November 24: Bhupender Yadav, the Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, met with the UN Country Team (UNCT) on Thursday and discussed how the UN agencies could carry Mission LiFE, a mantra given to the masses by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Yadav said on Twitter, We held a special meeting with the UN Country Team in India today to discuss the main findings of COP27.We also discussed how UN agencies can bring Mission LiFE, a mantra given by PM Shri @narendramodi ji, to the people. In his address to the special UNCT meeting, Bhupender Yadav said, I am very proud to be among you all in this special meeting with the UN Country Team, which focuses on the key takeaways and recommendations from the recently concluded COP 27.I just returned from COP27, and I'm certain you have attended its proceedings and read its conclusions.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on your plan to implement the COP27 goals in India, in accordance with our National Development Priorities, said Union Minister Yadav at COP26 in Glasgow.LiFE-Lifestyles for Environment, according to Union Minister Narendra Modi, is a key tool for improving sustainability and combating climate change.Since then, much has been achieved in order to turn this vision into a concrete action plan.Mission LiFE was launched to carry forward this message to the international community by participating in the launch event at Kevadia on October 20th with PM Shri Narendra Modi.

India is aiming to involve a billion people in the Mission LiFE global mass movement.During COP27, we made a start with a series of LiFE-related events at the India Pavilion.I commend the involvement of UNEP and UNDP in these activities, according to Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav. He added that One of the immediate tasks is to compile a LiFE encyclopedia of global best practices on sustainable living.

I notice that UN INDIA is also in collaboration with NITI Aayog and MoEFCC in this regard. There may be other ways to carry out the COP27 decision on the transition to sustainable lifestyles.During India's G20 presidency, UN India might consider hosting a global conference on Mission LiFE.Several UN departments are implementing agencies under GEF, and some are also accredited entities under GCF.

In the forthcoming projects, he says, the results of COP27 on sustainable lifestyles, climate change in agriculture, climate change research program, and just transition should be factored in correctly.
