New Delhi (Haryana), July 21, (ATK): Today, India is all set to incorporate electric vehicles into everyday life and become a world leader in the electric vehicle industry.According to government estimates, about 30% of all passenger cars sold in India will be EVs by the year 2030, so there is a lot of scope for these cars to become mainstream, but the lack of easy charging stations has slowed the adoption. In a recent market survey on EVs, it was found that many potential customers are eager to buy one, but that these delays preventing them from making the purchase.SpotCharge, a Gurugram-based startup, has developed a unique system for charging four-wheeler EVs parked in high-rise residential areas, commercial buildings, malls, and parking lots.

Even in cases where adequate electrical infrastructure is not available or for places where a dedicated space to setup a static charger is insufficient, SpotCharge could temporarily convert a parking spot into an EV charging space using a vehicle-mounted fast charger.Gargi Singh, founder of SpotCharge, explains the difficulties that most EV users in metropolitan areas face: Our vast research results have enabled us to gain a deep understanding of the problem.Firstly, the availability of 8-10hr power supply for charging an electric vehicle is not widespread, and unattended charging in a remote location can cause tension to the vehicle owners.Secondly, it is difficult for residents and office workers to put up these slow-paced chargers in their parking lots.

Rishit Naik, Founder of SpotCharge, explained that our unique service is able to bypass the above-mentioned barriers. We wanted to make charging EVs as straightforward as possible and accessible at the door. Our users can book their slots with SpotCharge Web or Mobile App, and the machine operator will arrive at the desired location. The charging period would be around 45-60 minutes.

Our aim is to provide a satisfying experience to our clients. At various locations in Gurugram, the organization is also offering fast charging services. In addition, SpotCharge is in the process of launching a roadside assistance program for EV users who are out of state in remote areas.SpotCharge is planning to expand its footprint into other mega cities, such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, after a successful stint in Gurugram.
