Colombo, May 15 : The Sri Lankan Defence Ministry has announced that it will investigate reports about the LTTE's planned attacks on Mullivaikkal Remembrance Day, which is celebrated by Sri Lankan Tamils to honor those who died in the country's last civil war stages.The LTTE was formed in 1976 and became one of the worlds most advanced and tightly arranged groups.According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Indian intelligence services had given general information to Sri Lanka and further informed that the investigations would be carried out in this regard.However, they said that no further action has been taken to improve the security while also educating the respective security forces of the same.

Sri Lanka's Defense Ministry ordered the armed forces to open fire on anyone looting public property or injuring others, according to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.He had encouraged all Sri Lankan stakeholders to find a common way to tackle the current challenges by dialogue.Sri Lanka has been in the midst of an economic crisis that has resulted in a shortage of essential commodities such as electricity, food, and medicines.
