STF arrests a further state secretariat worker

Surya Pratap is a state secretariat assistant (APS) who is suspected of selling the leaked question paper to candidates of the graduate-level UKSSSC recruitment exam held in December last year . Pratap was apprehended after the STF found enough evidence against him regarding his involvement in the investigation .

On Friday, the Uttarakhand STF reported another suspect, a government employee, in its continuing investigation into the UKSSSC paper leak case.Surya Pratap, the accused, is a state secretariat assistant (APS), who is suspected of selling the leaked question paper to candidates of the graduate-level UKSSSC recruitment exam held in December last year, according to police.Pratap, a resident of Jaspur, Udham Singh Nagar district, is accused of selling the leaked question paper to applicants.This week, Prataps was the second federal staffer detained by the state secretariat.

He is accused of selling the leaked question paper to investigators in collaboration with APS Chauhan, who was earlier arrested.After his detention on Friday, he was brought to the local court, he said.He has been held in solitary confinement.Also, another STF officer, who is not under scrutiny, has informed the police that the man behind the investigation has been discovered.We have come to know that the plot of leaked the question paper was hatched by a senior government officer who was in the UKSSSC at a senior level until a few years ago, according to reports.

Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar announced on Thursday that the STF had screened at least 50 candidates who passed the entrance examination after purchasing the leaked question paper, according to Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar.Such candidates would soon be arrested, he said.The STF has already collected evidence against them.The mastermind will also be indicted shortly.

In the case, the STF has arrested 16 people, including six government officials.
