Supreme Court transferred case concerning alleged murder of former Andhra Pradesh minister YS Vivekananda Reddy from a local state court to Hyderabad on Tuesday . The case was first reported at Police Station Pulivendula in Kadappa, (Andhra Pradesh) on March 15, 2019 .
On Thursday, former Andhra Pradesh minister YS Vivekananda Reddy's daughter Sunitha Reddy met with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters in the national capital.The Supreme Court transferred the case concerning the alleged murder of former Andhra Pradesh minister YS Vivekananda Reddy from a local state court to Hyderabad on Tuesday, according to a bench headed by Justice MR Shah.The appeal was accepted by the daughter of deceased Vivekananda Reddy, who requested the case be transferred.The court ruled that the allegations raised by his wife and daughter concerning the failure of a fair trial are legitimate.The petitioners, who are the deceased's daughter and wife, have a fundamental right and a valid hope that the criminal trial be conducted in a fair manner, according to the court.
Vivekananda Reddy, a former MP, was found murdered at his home in Pulivendula on March 15, 2019.
