Iga Swiatek, Poland's world number one, has joined forces with Agnieszka Radwanska, Elina Svitolina, Sergiy Stakhovsky, and Martyn Pawelski, a fellow tennis player from Poland, for a one-day special event to raise funds for those affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.Iga Swiatek & Friends for Ukraine, which takes place in Poland's Krakow on July 23, will feature a mixed doubles match and a set of singles between Swiatek and compatriot Radwanska.Ukrainian Svitolina will umpire both games.In a statement published on social media on Wednesday, French Open champion Swiatek said I have been working with my team on a charity campaign for Ukraine for months to help those who suffer as a result of the war.
