Tamil Nadu: Two youth are murdered as a fast automobile hits a bicycle

Two students, aged 21 and 21, died after a speeding car struck their bike on Chennai-Tirupati national highway . Uma Shankar, 21, of Madavilagam village in Tiruvallur district, and Vijay, 21, of Nazarethpet were the victims .

On Wednesday night, two students, aged 21 and 21, died after a speeding car struck their bike from behind on Chennai-Tirupati national highway.Uma Shankar, 21, of Madavilagam village in Tiruvallur district, and Vijay, 21, of Nazarethpet were the victims, respectively.Uma Shankar was enrolled in a pharmacy college in Pudur village but had to abandon studies.Since he wanted to continue his studies in a different college, he took his friend Vijay and went to the college to obtain his transfer certificate.

Later that night, the two met with friends and were on their way to Tiruvallur.On the national highway between Chennai and Tirupati, a speeding vehicle struck their bike from behind and the two were thrown off.Umashankar, who was riding the pillion, died on the spot.Vijay was taken to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital for evaluation, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A lawsuit has been filed by Kanakammachatram police.According to an investigating officer, the youth was not speeding but lost control when the speeding car came into view from behind.
