HYDERABAD: While many countries have special treatment centers for prolonged Covid-19 related issues, one that was even covered in the pre-print server on healthcare, medRxiv argues that India does not have such facilities.Despite the fact that India is the world's second largest Covid-19 infection hub, a report has revealed that in the past two years of the pandemic, about four crore Indians have experienced long Covid-19 symptoms.Experts estimated that there could be three lakh Covid-19 cases in Telangana alone, based on the sample's estimates for long Covid-19.Former director of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Rakesh Mishra, said the study may have taken into account serological advances in each country and estimated that nearly 3.5 percent of the population could be experiencing long Covid-19 problems.

Continued research is crucial to address long-standing Covid-19 issues.Mishra said that special treatment facilities are also in short supply. In the book titled Global systematic review of the occurrence, severity, and recovery pattern of long Covid-19 2020-2021, the condition is described as having new or continuing symptoms for four weeks or more after its onset.According to Subodh Kandmuthan, director of the Dr Kakarla Subbarao Centre for Health Care Management at ASCI, the study examined countries for the presence of three main long-term Covid-19 symptoms clusters.

According to the professor, they assembled data in 204 countries from over 44 global studies and medical record databases as well as the global burden of disease (GBD) survey.According to the report, 144.7 million people worldwide have experienced at least one of the three ailments between 2020 and 2021.With 60.4% of people experiencing respiratory problems, coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath were the most common. The analysis's most interesting part is that long Covid-19 is observed in people with mild and moderate infections but not severe infections.
