As the Proteas choked in yet another ICC tournament in Adelaide on Sunday, South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma said the demise from the T20 World Cup was a difficult one to swallow.South Africa was stomped by the Netherlands by 13 runs in their Super 12 final, failing to qualify for the T20 group stage.It's a difficult pill to swallow.At the post-match presentation, Bavuma expressed confidence and belief in ourselves as a team to reach the play-offs.
The result also guaranteed India a last-four spot ahead of their final Group 2 match against Zimbabwe.We were devastated.What they got for winning the toss and bowling wasnt exactly ideal.At critical times, we lost wickets.They used the dimensions of the field a lot better than we did, he said.The chokers tag was not awarded by chance to South Africa. It will take a bit of time... We are very used to those conditions, he said.It's certainly up there, another big upset for Netherlands in a World Cup, he said.We were still competing for a place in the next World Cup.After defeating Zimbabwe by five wickets earlier, the Netherlands claimed their second Super 12 stage victory (after defeating them by five wickets).
