Bihar CM Nitish Kumar accused of backstabbing BJP to pursue his PM ambition . Kumar wants to be the poster boy for opposition unity and BJP-Mukt Bharat .
PATNA: In response to Union minister Amit Shah accusing Bihar CM Nitish Kumar of backstabbing BJP to pursue his PM ambition, JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan alias Lalan Singh said Bihar will be the center of BJP-Mukt Bharat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.Shah, speaking at a rally in Purnia on Friday, said Nitish betrayed the BJP by sitting on (RJD chief) Lalu Prasad's lap with the intention of becoming Prime Minister in 2024.In a statement to the media in Delhi, Lalan said that Nitish is never the candidate for the PM position.According to Lalan, he wants to be the poster boy for opposition unity and BJP-Mukt Bharat (BJP-free India).BJP has hatched a plot against him, as the truth is.Nitish was stabbed in the 2020 assembly elections, he said.Lalus son and Bihars deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav called it a comedy show at Shahs rally, taking a jibe at the occasion. He also slammed the BJP chief for failing to make Bihar the number one state after being in power for so long. They were in power and called it the double-engine government. Why didn't you make Bihar number one?Because then Bihar was neglected, and money was neither given to the education department nor released for the development of rural roads.I am sitting with all the data, said Tejashwi. Had he come to threaten here?He neither resembled a politician nor a home minister. And I dont want to describe what he was looking like. They refer to jungleraj, but New Delhi, the capital where Shah lives, has more corruption than Bihar. Shahs rally was branded a flop show by RJDs state spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad, who said that the BJP called the attendees and that they were not ordinary people. The home minister had to encourage people to clap and show some energy in such a way.Ajeet Sharma, the chairman of the Congress legislative committee, chastised Shah for failing to address issues of public concern, and he said, In his entire speech, Amit Shah talked about CM Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad. This is evidence of the BJP's indignation.
