The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, today arrived in Nalbari for a day-long visit, in which he introduced up to 12 initiatives aimed at transforming the town into one of the state's most innovative ones on all fronts, including the construction of the district's Sports Stadium Complex at Sariahtoli, for a cost of Rs 51 crore, and the construction of a new science center and planetarium at Sariah He also announced that he would look at the possibility of constructing a state-of-the-art modern sports stadium in Samata in the coming months.In the coming months, plans worth a whopping Rs 40,000 crore will be unveiled or launched across different districts.The current regime in the state is bringing about a surge of growth and development, he said, because it recognizes the urgency of the individual.He also urged the economically marginalized families that were left out of the Orunodoi project in its first phase to apply without delay to the forthcoming Orunodoi 2.0.
