NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party government will send 25 lakh flags to Delhiites to instill patriotic fervour ahead of the Independence Day.These flags will not only be distributed to school students, but will also be distributed to the general public living in the area.On Friday, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal urged people to sing the national anthem at 5 p.m., holding the flag in their hands, and accept the responsibility to make India the world's greatest country.On August 14 evening, he said, several activities would be held in more than 100 locations around the city and encouraged people to participate.

In every gully-mohalla and chowk (lanes and bylanes) of Delhi, the Delhi government will sell 25 lakh Tricolours.In a digital press conference, Kejriwal said that every child will be given a Tricolour in government schools so that they can hoist them at home and sing the national anthem with the flag in their hands.Although the Centre has released a Har Ghar Tiranga initiative to commemorate 75 years of independence and Azad Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Delhi government has taken the initiative to carry the national flag into the hands of every Delhiite through its Har Haath Tiranga initiative.According to reports, the Delhi government's social security department has joined up with several self-help organizations to make 25 lakh flags, which will be released to people in the near future.

When we sing the national anthem with the national flag in our hands, we, 130 crore Indians, must band together and make India the best and strongest nation in the world, he said.However, the chief minister said that India will not reach the top unless every child has access to high-quality education and has access to world-class healthcare.Our country will not be a world champion unless every child receives a high quality education.India cannot become the world's number one country if there is no adequate healthcare in every town and village, according to Kejriwal.
