Beijing 1979 Ice Hockey Team disbanded after the Winter Olympics . Many of the players are now over 60 years old .

Beijing, December 7 (PRNewswire): Although the Beijing Winter Olympics Games have come and gone, peoples love of winter sports hasn't dimmed in any way.Zhou Yunjie is a goalie from the Beijing 1979 Ice Hockey Team.The majority of the players in this squad are now over 60 years old, with many of them starting their careers at Beijing's Shichahai Sports Academy.Players started hockey lessons at a very young age and dedicated a lot of their time to physical conditioning on the ice.

Sadly, the team was dissolved that same year due to several reasons.After being told about Chinas plans to host the Winter Olympics, Zhou Yunjie and his teammates parted ways and pursued other careers.In this video, Zhou Yunjie discusses how he and his old teammates reunited to play ice hockey once more.I literally cried the first time I got on the gym to play ice hockey with my old mates.
