The head of the Delhi Women's Body is being tried on corruption charges.

Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal and three others accused of corruption and criminal conspiracy . Special Judge Dig Vinay Singh said the four accused conspired in deception and misappropriated their official position by allegedly appointing Aam Admi Party workers .

New Delhi, March 31, 2015: After finding evidence that the accused unlawfully appointed Aam Admi Party (AAP) workers to various positions in the commission, a special court ordered the framing of corruption and criminal conspiracy charges against Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Swati Maliwal and three others.Special Judge Dig Vinay Singh said the court accepted that the four accused conspired in deception and misappropriated their official position by allegedly appointing Aam Instead, the appointments were made in defiance of laws, Statutes, and Orders, without even advertising for the positions, and money was disbursed to various such individuals for remunerationsalary honorarium, the Court ruled.The Court held that the examination of the minutes of the meetings conducted by the DCW on various dates, in which all four accused were signatories, was sufficient to show that the accused persons did not abuse their position in order to obtain pecuni A public servant qui renders a public servant a bad omission by benefiting a third party would strictly fall within the scope of Sec.97.
