NEW DELHI: According to sources in the defense department, the Indian Army plans to use 5G technology to enhance frontline troops communications services, which would be vital in a tactical battlefield environment.According to them, the Army was the lead unit when a joint services study on the use of 5G in armed forces was launched recently.The study has been completed and the three services, Army, Navy, and the Air Force, are investigating it, they reported.According to them, the Indian Army would use 5G to support operations in the tactical battlefield zone.
