Mumbai: After seeing what is happening in the border areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka, Maharashtra Chief Minister Chandrakant Patil and Shambhuraj Desai, who are the ministers responsible for managing the states' border dispute with Karnataka, were earlier scheduled to meet with them at Belagavi in the southern state on Tuesday to discuss the decades-old border issue, Mr Pawar said.Former Union minister Pawar, whose party was part of the previous Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray, said there was a demand from the Madhyavarti Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti, a movement fighting for the merger of Belagavi and other border areas with Maharashtra, to hold discussions with volunteers on the Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue.
