Ahmedabad: After a four-month prison sentence and the issuance of a chargesheet against him for rape, child abuse, and violation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso), the Gujarat high court issued bail to Anil Ladhava, a Vatva police constable who is charged with raping a juvenile.She wanted her daughter to marry the constable, but she refused.In 2019, after Ladhava rejected the marriage proposal, she brought a lawsuit against him.The woman confessed to being in love with another man and appeared before the police chiefs.

There was no civil action against Ladhava until she refuted her mother's allegations against her in February.The victim, who is now married, claimed that Ladhava assaulted her in 2019 when she was a teenager.The constable was arrested and charged with carrying out an FIR.
