The polling department of the Nashik civic council has established an HR cell to mobilise staff for the election.

Nashik Municipal Corporation has created a human resources division to recruit more than 9,000 polling staff . The election was postponed due to the Covid pandemic and the OBC reservation issue .

Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC)'s election department has created a human resources (HR) division that will recruit more than 9,000 polling staff to support the forthcoming civic election.The HR cell's role will be to partner with various departmental levels and research institutions in the region to make sure that an adequate number of polling staff is at the disposal of the election departments.The Nashik civic body's five-year term ended on March 13, 2022, though the election was postponed due to the Covid pandemic as well as the OBC reservation issue.Nonetheless, the Supreme Court ordered the state election commissioner to publish the election schedule of the civic bodies that have completed their terms in a fortnight.

However, considering that the civic elections can be held in two-three months or earlier this year, the NMC administration has created a human resources department to support the workforce.If the elections are announced in the next two-three months, it will be the biggest challenge.Außerdem, the Nashik ZP elections are also scheduled and will be announced shortly.We will therefore need to ensure that adequate polling staff are mobilized on schedule, according to NMC officials.We've approached over 400 government agencies in the district and they've sent the lists of people who can be deployed for election duties.
