New Delhi, December 10, 2018: Parliament approved the Wildlife (Protection) Amendment Bill on Thursday, which seeks better protection of protected areas and allows for certain prohibited activities, such as grazing or movement of cattle, and the use of public sewage and household water by local people.The bill was introduced by a voice vote in Rajya Sabha.The Wildlife (Protection) Amendment Bill, 2021, was signed into law in August by a parliamentary committee and aims to preserve and protect wildlife by better care of endangered species, birds, and plants, and establish standing committees for the protection of endangered species of wild fauna and fauna.The bill also aims to simplify and amend the list of species that are regulated by the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.
