New Delhi, India, June 24: The Supreme Court canceled a hearing on Friday for June 29 on a petition by Jamiat-Ulama-I-Hind, requesting that the Uttar Pradesh government be given more time to respond to the UP government affidavit.The UP government said that the government had taken steps against rioters as per a different set of laws.The Prayagraj Development Authority demolished the illegal building on 12.06.2022 after following due process of law and the same had no connection to the incident of rioting, according to a spokesman for the UP government.The Uttar Pradesh government urged the Court to dismiss the Jamiat Ulama-I-Hinds application, claiming that it is without merit in an affidavit.
