US Defense Department announced another military assistance package worth USD 275 million for Ukraine . The assistance kit included ammunition for high-powered artillery rocket systems (HIMARS), 80,000 155 mm artillery rounds, and counter-air defense capabilities .

Washington, United States, December 10 : The US Defense Department announced on Friday another military assistance package worth USD 275 million for Ukraine.The assistance kit included additional ammunition for high-powered artillery rocket systems (HIMARS), 80,000 155 mm artillery rounds, and counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems equipment.In addition, the United States also included counter-air defense capabilities, high-speed multipurpose wheeled vehicles (HMMWVs), ambulances, and medical equipment, as well as about 150 generators and field equipment.The announcement comes ahead of a raging conflict between Russia and Ukraine.Since Russia began its military offensive in Ukraine on February 24, the US Defence Department reported that the US has provided US military assistance worth over USD 19.3 billion.

The United States has been providing military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine ever since Moscow launched aggression in Kyiv, according to a press release from the US Defence Department.The new defense assistance package will provide Ukraine with new capabilities to upgrade its air defenses as well as new equipment that Ukraine is using so effectively to defend itself on the battlefield.According to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the US continues to support Ukraine with military assistance to help the country protect itself from Russia's brutal and unprovoked assault.The new military package is the 27th withdrawal of US arms and equipment for Ukraine since August 2021.
